What specific livelihood training programs does ActionPath Africa offer for youth and women?
We offer practical, market-driven livelihood training programs tailored to local economic realities. For youth, our focus includes digital skills, agribusiness, entrepreneurship, renewable energy installation, and vocational trades (e.g., plumbing, tailoring). For women, we prioritize financial literacy, small business management, poultry and kitchen gardening, beadwork and crafts marketing, and savings-led micro-enterprise development. All courses integrate life skills and basic business record-keeping.
Who do you work with?
We primarily work with youth (aged 18–35), adolescents, and women from marginalized and underserved communities across Africa, including refugee camps. Our programs are implemented through partnerships with NGOs, INGOs, community-based organizations (CBOs), county and national government agencies, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Is ActionPath Africa a registered and legitimate company?
Absolutely. ActionPath Africa is a fully registered consultancy in Kenya with a valid certificate of incorporation, PIN certificate, and compliance certificates. We can provide all statutory documents required for due diligence by donors, NGOs, or government procurement departments. We also have audited financial records and a physical office in Njiru Township, Nairobi, Kenya. We operate in compliance with all relevant Kenyan laws and regulations governing training and consultancy services. We maintain high standards of transparency, accountability, and program quality in all our engagements.
How do you partner with organizations?
We partner with organizations and government agencies through direct implementation of livelihood projects, training-of-trainers (ToT) programs, co-design and co-delivery of projects, capacity building for partner staff, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) support. We tailor every partnership to meet the specific objectives, target groups, and budgets of our partners.
We partner with international and local NGOs, CBOs, and government bodies (e.g., Ministry of Youth Affairs, county governments). Partnership models include sub-grantee roles (delivering training under your project), technical advisory (co-designing livelihood curricula), M&E support (tracking outcomes for your reports), and train-the-trainer (building your staff's capacity). We work within your existing frameworks or propose a joint implementation plan with clear deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
What is your track record and impact?
Over the years, ActionPath Africa has successfully trained thousands of young people and women across different counties in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and South Sudan. Our programs have achieved strong results in areas such as business startup rates, income growth, and job creation. We work with partners to conduct rigorous monitoring and evaluation to measure real impact and ensure continuous improvement.
How can we collaborate with ActionPath Africa?
We welcome partnerships and collaboration opportunities. You can reach out to us through the email address indicated on our website. Our team will be happy to schedule a meeting to discuss your needs and explore how we can work together to empower youth and women through sustainable livelihood initiatives.
How does ActionPath Africa differ from other training consultancies in Kenya?
We are the only reputable company in Africa that designs and develops curriculum, conducts training, and authors training guides for organizations to use for training. Unlike generic trainers, we specialize exclusively in designing and delivering livelihood training for youth and women. We embed a "train-plus-connect" model: after training, we link participants to micro-savings groups, mentorship networks, and local market opportunities. Additionally, as a registered consultancy, we understand the regulatory and cultural context deeply, enabling us to design programs that are both compliant and community-appropriate. Our partnerships with NGOs and government agencies also allow us to scale proven models efficiently.
Is ActionPath Africa legally registered and compliant to receive donor or government funds?
Absolutely. ActionPath Africa is a fully registered consultancy in Kenya with a valid certificate of incorporation, PIN certificate, and tax compliance certificate. We can provide all statutory documents required for due diligence by donors, NGOs, or government procurement departments. We also have audited financial records and a physical office in Njiru Township, Nairobi, Kenya for verifiability.
How do you measure the success of your livelihood training programs?
We use a results-based framework. Key metrics include pre- and post-training skills assessments (practical tests), percentage of participants who start or improve an income-generating activity (target: >70% within 6 months), savings group formation and retention rates, and follow-up surveys at 3, 6, and 12 months. We provide partners with detailed reports, case studies, and raw data. For organizations requiring it, we can integrate with your existing M&E systems.
What regions in Africa do you currently serve, and can you adapt training for refugee or informal settlements?
We currently operate in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. We are exploring entering the market in Burkina Faso. For refugee contexts, e.g., Kakuma and Dadaab and informal settlements, we adapt delivery methods such as shorter modules, mobile-friendly visual aids, local language instruction (Swahili, Somali, Turkana, etc.), and flexible schedules. We also design and use a low-literacy curriculum and integrate trauma-informed facilitation where needed.
